The Templestowe Village Festival was initiated by the Templestowe Village Traders in 1993 to bring the people of Templestowe together in a celebration of community.

Over the years residents, service clubs such as Rotary and Kiwanis, community and church organizations have united to make the Templestowe Village Festival the great success that it has become. The Festival is run by a committee of management which includes traders, service club members, local residents and council representatives. and is partly funded by a grant from the Manningham Council and the generosity of Manningham businesspeople, local traders and residents.

The festival has no paid staff and all the work is done voluntarily by local traders and businesspeople, residents, service clubs and community organizations. Many, many hours of voluntary work go into making the festival a wonderful, annual event where the community of Manningham gets together to have fun.

What started off as a traders’ initiative has now become an annual community festival that shows off the rich diversity cultural, historical resources and environmental qualities that Manningham has to offer not only local residents but the whole community.
